We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Working Site Supervisor to oversee the daily operations at our site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This role is crucial for the smooth running of our projects and requires strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We undertake projects nationwide, so staying away from home is to be expected. We complete projects for a wide range of clients, but predominately these are either agricultural or civils based.
Our work is mainly based as a sub contractor on large civils sites, we work long hours, and are looking for a leader who is prepared to proactively help the progress of the team, which will include helping all members of the team; labourers, machine drivers, etc with their tasks.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily site operations and manage on-site personnel to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met.
To monitor compliance with health and safety regulations.
Provide training and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate records of site activities, including work progress and incidents.
Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively.
Ensure that all equipment and materials are available for the team to perform their duties without delay.
Experience
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a construction or similar environment is essential.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to site operations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead a diverse team.
Previous experience in managing teams is highly desirable, along with a commitment to fostering teamwork and collaboration.
A CSCS/NPORS or SSSTS/SMSTS qualification.
