Role Overview





We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Site Supervisor to join our team, working on-site at our customer's facility in Shotton. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and technical expertise in lifting equipment inspection and maintenance.



In this role, you will be responsible for supervising on-site operations, coordinating inspection activities, and maintaining close liaison with the client to ensure service delivery meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities




Supervise daily inspection and maintenance activities on-site, ensuring adherence to company procedures and client requirements. Conduct thorough examinations of crane ropes, door winch ropes, and accumulator ropes. Oversee and perform rope change-outs on overhead electric travelling cranes, accumulator counterweight ropes, and door winch systems. Work at height regularly (up to 20 metres), with occasional work at 30 metres on secured walkways with handrails. Handle and lift wire ropes up to 35mm in diameter in accordance with safe working practices. Carry out inspection and tagging of wire rope slings, web slings, shackles, eyebolts, and other loose lifting equipment. Perform thorough examination of fall arrest harnesses and lanyards. Amend risk assessments and method statements on-site in response to evolving job conditions. Ensure accurate reporting and data entry using a tablet-based system. Act as the primary point of contact for the client, maintaining a strong working relationship and resolving operational queries or concerns. Promote and enforce high standards of health and safety on-site.



Skills & Experience




Proven supervisory experience in lifting equipment inspection or a similar technical role is desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and team members. Excellent time management, planning, and organisational abilities. A proactive attitude with a willingness to lead by example. Physically fit, comfortable working at height, and capable of handling heavy equipment. Significant experience as a Lifting Equipment Inspection Engineer is essential.
