Job Description

Due to continuous expansion IMES International Ltd are looking for a Lead Lifting Equipment / Wire Rope Inspector, based local to our Ellon facility. Forming part of our inspection team, you will take a lead role on LOLER inspection and wire rope integrity surveys across the UK, offshore, and internationally, consisting of site, vessel and platform locations.

You will be required to carry out wire rope spooling operations, lifting gear surveys, load testing and NDT inspections on all aspects of lifting equipment including dive systems, cranes, and lifeboat davit systems. Previous leadership, experience and knowledge of wire rope integrity, dive system inspection, cranes, lifting equipment, and lifeboat davit systems is essential Spooling activities including leading wire rope / umbilical installations Wire rope socketing experience is essential Carry out LOLER inspection surveys, capable of leading the inspection team from initial and follow up surveys LEEA qualifications required Magnetic rope testing (MRT) experience is required using NDT Technologies systems EC / MPI /DPI Level 2 is required Offshore BOSIET and medical desirable Strong report writing skills Travelling to worldwide client locations as and when required Supervision and onsite training of lesser experienced Inspectors, carry out on-site personnel competency assessments Responsible for overseeing the demobilisation of equipment at the worksite, prepare for backload completing any required manifests Current valid driving licence Current valid passport Must have right to work in the UK and live in the local area Miniumum 5 years experience in lifting equipment inspection.
