About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable

Site Technician

to join our Construction Materials Testing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out

on-site and laboratory testing

of construction materials including

soil, asphalt, and concrete

to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out

site sampling and testing

of soil, asphalt, and concrete materials in accordance with British Standards and company procedures. Perform tests such as:

Compaction and density testing

using a nuclear density gauge

CBR testing

on soil samples

Slump tests

and preparation of concrete cube samples

Core sampling

of asphalt and concrete Record and maintain accurate test results and documentation. Calibrate and maintain testing equipment. Liaise with site engineers, contractors, and laboratory staff to ensure efficient sample collection and reporting. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with

Health & Safety regulations

and

UKAS quality standards

Requirements

Essential:

Full UK driving licence (must be willing to travel to sites). Basic understanding of construction materials and testing methods. Good attention to detail and record-keeping skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Desirable:

Experience working in a

construction materials testing

environment. Familiarity with tests on

soil, asphalt, and concrete

.

CSCS card

and/or relevant site safety training. Knowledge of

BS and BS EN testing standards

.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 16.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
