About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Skilled Butcher to join our supermarket team. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of meat preparation, excellent knife skills, and hands-on experience using a bandsaw and other butchery equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Confidently operate a
bandsaw
and other butchery machinery safely Provide expert product knowledge and friendly customer service Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards Manage stock rotation and ensure displays are attractive and accurate Work efficiently to meet daily production and service targets Prepare, cut, trim, and package meat products to a high standard Support training of junior staff where requiredAbout You
Proven experience as a butcher (supermarket or shop environment) Strong knife skills and familiarity with a wide range of meat cuts
Bandsaw operation experience is essential
Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene procedures Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently Able to work in a chilled environment Good communication and customer service skillsHow to Apply
