Job Description
We are an established A la Carte restaurant with a capacity of 75 covers, well known for serving authentic Indian and Nepali cuisine. We are currently seeking a skilled chef with experience and expertise in managing our Curry and Oriental dishes section.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, marinating, and cooking a variety of authentic Oriental and curry dishes, to provide a delightful and heavenly experience to all our dine-in customers. Specialization in Indo-Chinese cuisine is also preferred.
Key responsibilities will include:
Duties & Responsibilities
Food preparation:
Prepare all kinds of Oriental dishes, both hot and cold, for daily A la carte service, special events.Quality and consistency:
Ensure all dishes meet high standards for taste, quality, and presentation.Menu development:
Create new recipes and assist in updating menu cards.Kitchen management:
Supervise kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and ensure the kitchen is clean and organized.Inventory and supplies:
Order and manage inventory, monitor stock, and ensure the quality of ingredients.Hygiene and safety:
Adhere to strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.Teamwork and communication:
Attend daily meetings and communicate effectively with other staff and superiors.Qualifications and skills
Experience:
Proven experience as an Oriental or Curry chef, culinary apprenticeship certification or degree being a plus.Culinary knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and regional variations.Technical skills:
Proficiency in knife skills, cooking methods, sauces, and food presentation.Leadership:
Strong leadership and team management skills.Soft skills:
Communicative English is required, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 40,000.00-43,000.00 per year
