We're looking for experienced

Drainage Operatives

to deliver high-quality groundworks and civil engineering projects. If you've got proven skills in

deep drainage (confined spaces ticket required)

along with strong experience in

internal and external drainage

, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret drawings and site documentation accurately Set up and operate trench boxes, drag boxes, and manhole boxes Use pipe lasers to lay Concrete, Clay, and Plastic pipes of all sizes, ensuring correct bedding, surround, and testing Manage ground water and set up appropriate pumps for site conditions Correctly backfill trenches and bench manholes Carry out internal and external drainage works to a high standard Work safely around live services, applying service avoidance techniques Undertake external works: kerbs, edgings, slabs, block paving, and hard/soft landscaping Complete daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks, reporting promptly to site management

Essential Requirements

Valid CSCS card or equivalent

5+ years' experience in skilled groundworks and drainage (deep drainage and confined spaces essential) Competent in operating plant, including dumpers, rollers, and telehandlers (CPCS/NPORS preferred) Strong knowledge of underground drainage systems, road formation, and first-stage groundworks Experienced working as part of a team or gang Reliable, punctual, and proactive
