We're seeking skilled

Drainage & Groundworks Operatives

to deliver high-quality civil engineering and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret drawings and site documentation accurately Set up and safely operate trench boxes, drag boxes, and manhole boxes Use pipe lasers to lay Concrete, Clay, and Plastic pipes of all sizes, ensuring correct bedding, surround, and testing Manage ground water and set up pumps suited to site conditions Correctly backfill trenches and bench manholes Carry out both

internal and external drainage works

to a high standard Work safely around live services, applying safe avoidance techniques Deliver external works including kerbs, edgings, slabs, block paving, and hard/soft landscaping Complete daily pre-start plant inspections and maintenance checks, reporting issues promptly to site management

Essential Requirements

Valid CSCS card (or equivalent)

5+ years' experience in groundworks and drainage (deep drainage & confined spaces essential) Competent in operating plant, including dumpers, rollers, and telehandlers (CPCS/NPORS preferred) Strong knowledge of drainage systems, road formation, and first-stage groundworks Experienced working effectively as part of a team or gang Reliable, punctual, and proactive
