Salary: 30,000-34,000 per year (DOE)

natural stone, clay paving, meadowscapes and natural ponds

. We deliver carefully built outdoor spaces where

good workmanship and attention to detail

matter.

Our team is strong in horticulture -- we're now looking for a dedicated hard landscaper to strengthen our construction capability.

The role

We're recruiting a

Skilled Hard Landscaper

with solid outdoor construction experience. You'll take ownership of hard landscaping tasks once briefed, working

under the direction and oversight of the owner

to ensure quality, accuracy and consistency.

This isn't a ready-made management position, but it does suit someone confident running the hard landscaping element of a project day-to-day once the approach is agreed.

Key responsibilities

Groundworks and site preparation Laying

natural stone and clay paving

to a high standard Installing decking (timber or composite) Building and repairing fencing Supporting pond and Aquascape water feature builds (

training provided

) Keeping sites tidy, safe and well organised Working to daily/weekly targets Providing a professional experience for clients and neighbours
Required experience & skills

Minimum

2 years' experience

in landscaping or a relevant trade (e.g. groundworks, building) Strong groundworks and paving ability (essential) Able to work from plans and concept designs Confident taking ownership of hard landscaping tasks once briefed Good communication and teamwork Reliable, positive attitude Full clean UK driving licence held for

3+ years

Desirable

Machinery tickets/experience (digger, dumper etc.) Decking experience Ponds/water features experience (not essential) Basic horticultural understanding
Seasonal working hours (honest expectations)

Landscaping is seasonal.

Summer:

longer days may be needed to make the most of weather/daylight

Winter:

shorter days may occur due to conditions and scheduling
Across the year this balances to a full-time role. We plan work sensibly and communicate clearly.

Progression

This is a developing, hands-on role. Progression comes from:

Consistent quality in groundworks and paving Reliability, initiative and problem-solving Taking responsibility for the hard landscaping element of projects
As the business grows, more responsibility will follow.

This role may also suit an experienced self-employed landscaper looking for a stable, long-term employed position.
