Job Summary

We are a well-established and highly innovative Construction Company based in Plymouth who are currently undertaking new and exciting projects locally and throughout the South of England. We are looking to recruit a multiskilled tradesperson, to join our fast paced and dynamic team. The role will primarily be outside and will involve manual work so you will need to be comfortable working in external environments and be physically fit to keep up with the demands of the role. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various construction, maintenance, and manual tasks across multiple projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the successful completion of diverse projects while ensuring safety and efficiency on site.

Experience in the following fields would be advantageous but not essential to have all:

Painting and Decorating (essential) Roofing - Fitting, Tiling, Flat roofs, Repairs or Remedials Rendering Cavity Trays Plastering Window Fitting - Windows and Doors Basic Carpentry Bricklayers Tiling/Patch Plastering General handyman works Groundworks and landscapers

Duties to list some:

Assisting with loading and unloading materials and equipment Preparing work sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organising tools Carrying out manual tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving materials Supporting specialised tradespeople with their tasks as required Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations Maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout the shift Reporting any hazards or issues to supervisors promptly

Person Specification:

Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Labourer of 2 years + is advantageous Good knowledge of the construction industry and general building is essential Good physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks throughout the day Ability to Multi-task, work to deadlines, prioritise under pressure and use own initiative. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively solely and within a team. Ability to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives Willingness to learn, with a positive attitude and a keen team player. Good knowledge of health and safety procedures on construction sites Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach are a must. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules Excellent problem-solving, good verbal and written communication skills

Licence/ Certification:

CSCS card - advantageous. Driving License - required.

Schedule:

Day Shift Monday to Friday 07:30 am - 5pm

Please Note: Labourers are required to be on site by 7:15am sharp for day's briefing and begin work by 7:30am.

Work Location:

In person, locations will vary and may involve regular overnight stays during the week. A basic DBS clearance maybe required where applicable to work site location.

Ability to Commute:

Reliably commute to Plymouth before starting work
