About the Role - Skilled Mechanical Fitter

Skilled Mechanical Fitter
position at our Chelmsford depot could just be the job for you! It offers technical up-skilling and career progression. We'll also provide all the PPE and tools you'll need to succeed in your role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
Vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing, repairs and vehicle inspections in accordance with First Bus Standard Engineering Operating Procedures
To fully comply with all HS&E legislation along with Group Policies
To fully comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintain and develop technical skills as required
Attend and assist on vehicle breakdowns
Location:
Chelmsford
Hours:
39 per week, 4 days out of 7 (including weekends) on a rotating pattern of early shifts 05:00-15:00 and late shifts 14:30-00:30
Salary:
23.01 per hour - overtime also available
About you
Do you have a minimum Level 3 NVQ standard of equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds Level 1&2) qualification?
Do you have a flexible approach to working hours?
An aptitude to develop others within the Engineering Team
Do you hold a clean valid UK drivers licence?
A PCV licence is desirable or show a willingness to obtain PCV licence is essential as we will help you obtain your PCV
Experience of working with buses/coaches would be advantageous, but not a necessity
