Based at Florian House, Ipswich - covering

25,410 - 26,747 per year




40 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 16:30pm




We are looking for a Skilled Worker to join our East Operations team based in Ipswich. As a Skilled Worker you will be working on a busy day to day department providing support to our Responsive Repairs team. Daily tasks will include providing second man support on various day to day tasks, collecting and dumping waste materials from sites, completing small tasks such as clearing guttering, replacing window handles alongside general ad hoc duties as required. Some periods you will be lone working providing support to various sites.


The role of

Skilled Worker

will include:




Clearing empty properties of ex-tenants' belongings and transporting to waste site Cleaning of empty properties to a high standard Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed Providing accurate and timely information on progress of jobs Collection of rubbish, trade waste and debris from work areas and dispose in the skip Disposing of shrub and grass cuttings from empty properties Ferrying of materials to and from the work area Collection and transportation of larger materials on occasions

Skills and experiences:




Relevant experience in a similar role Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation Demonstrable experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads Ability to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling Good communication skills This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
