Itchen College is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Early Years Tutor to join our successful Skills Bootcamps team. This is an exciting opportunity to support adults into meaningful careers in nurseries, pre-schools, and early years settings across Hampshire.
In this impactful role, you will design and deliver engaging, practical training that reflects current sector priorities--including child development, play-based learning, safeguarding, and inclusive practice. You will guide learners through content aligned to the Early Years Foundation Stage, equipping them with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to succeed as Nursery Assistants, Early Years Practitioners, or Early Years Educators.
Working in close partnership with local early years providers, Job Centres, and community organisations, you will recruit and support adult learners from a range of backgrounds--ensuring each participant has a clear and supported route into employment.
We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in Early Years education and a genuine passion for helping adults thrive in this rewarding field. You should have experience delivering training or support in an early years or adult education setting and be confident in adapting your approach to meet diverse learning needs.
You will ideally hold a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (PTTLS) or be willing to work towards it, and be well-versed in the core principles of early childhood education, including safeguarding, child development, and learning through play.
Above all, we're looking for someone who is organised, committed, and enthusiastic--able to inspire learners and maintain high standards of teaching and learner progression.
The successful applicant must be prepared to travel across Hampshire; travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Contract:
Fixed Term Contract until 31st December 2026 (possibility of extension subject to funding)

37 hrs p/w, 52 wks p/a
Salary
: SCP 19- Currently 36,564 p/a

Key Responsibilities
The Skills Bootcamps Early Years Tutor is a key support-staff role central to the growth and impact of Itchen College's Skills Bootcamps. Working as part of a small, responsive team, you will lead on the delivery of our Level 2/3 Early Years Skills Bootcamp--designing and delivering industry-relevant training, recruiting and enrolling adult learners, and building relationships with nurseries, preschools and early years employers across Hampshire to secure guaranteed interviews and progression into meaningful employment.
