About The Role

As a Skills Practitioner, you will:




Provide hands-on

learning and technical support

to both staff and students within the department. Support the

delivery of practical workshops

and assist with the assessment process to help students achieve their full potential. Maintain a

safe, well-equipped, and efficient workshop environment

, ensuring all tools, equipment, and materials are ready for use. Manage

stock control

, including ordering, monitoring, and issuing supplies to maintain smooth operation of the department.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

to support the success of the curriculum and enhance the learner experience. Offer

constructive feedback and guidance

About You



We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled team member to join our Construction department.




In this role, you will:




Be

organised, efficient, and an excellent communicator

, able to engage and support learners in practical tasks.

Deliver demonstrations and technical guidance

in class to support outstanding teaching and learning across EKC Group. Hold a

qualification in Site Carpentry, Joinery, or equivalent experience

- this would be highly advantageous. Bring

recent industry experience

in construction, whether from a site or workshop environment. Ideally have experience in

education or workplace training

(although full training will be provided).

Inspire and motivate young people

to achieve their full potential, supporting the values and ethos of EKC Group. Take responsibility for

maintaining excellent Health & Safety standards

within practical environments.

Order and manage resources and materials

efficiently, ensuring all supplies meet budget and learning requirements.
