Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires a professional attitude and the ability to manage time effectively, ensuring that all deliveries are made on schedule. Experience with Skip Lorries is advantageous, as you will be responsible for transporting a variety of loads.

Duties

Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload skips, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during transport and delivery processes. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.

Qualifications

Must have a valid in-date HGV Class 2 / Category C driving licence Must have a valid in-date CPC & Digital tachograph cards Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with skips experience. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent time management skills to meet tight delivery schedules. Good physical fitness, as the role may involve heavy lifting and manual handling tasks. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
