Tour Boat Skippers - Freelance

Sailing from North Berwick and Dunbar, we have great openings for enthusiastic, flexible and easy-going Skippers for our summer season boat tours. We're looking for season-long skippers and others available part-season, at weekends or evenings.

You'll be flexible, positive, happy, assured and well organised to manage safety, interact with passengers, help clean boats and generally take skipper's responsibility.

BlueWild is an independent tour boat company, run by a small team with everyone working together to deliver excellent, informal, enjoyable and exhilarating nature, photography, history and geology tours.

We sail to the Bass Rock - the world's 3rd largest gannet colony, to the Isle of May with 100,000 puffins, and other nearby islands. We run highly specified 10-12 seat Redbay 12m and 8.5m cabin ribs, taking mainly international visitors on scheduled tours and private charters. Read about us at bluewild.co.uk

A minimum Advanced Powerboat Commercial or PB2 Commercial certification is needed plus all current certification and medical (ML5 or ENG1). Obviously, you must have excellent boat handling skills.

Our main season runs from 1 April to mid-October with other sailings and crew training in March. This is a freelance, self-employed job with a good hourly rate for all work on and off the boats.
