Vacancies within Secondary Schools for August 2024 (Permanent and Temporary Positions)

You will assist in the delivery of the curriculum and contribute to whole school initiatives, as appropriate, with our aim of high-quality learning and teaching at the core of our education provision.

You will carry out the range of duties outlined in Annexe B of "A Teaching Profession for the 21st Century"

This will then be verified with your line manger should you be successful in securing a post.

Should you be successful in securing a post within a Roman Catholic school, you will be required to submit your diocese approval immediately to personnel service, to allow your recruitment checks to be carried out. Motherwell Diocese have agreed you can apply for this now at the application stage, asking for approval within any Roman Catholic primary/secondary school in South Lanarkshire. You will be required to bring your diocese approval with you to interview for the panel to review, so please begin the process of requesting this now. This approval will then be updated in partnership with the diocese should you be successful in securing a post. GTC Registration

It is a legal requirement forany teacher teaching in a Scottish state school to be registered with GTC Scotland, General Teaching Council (Scotland) Registration.

Diocese Approval (denominational school appointments only)

In line with section 21 (2A) ofthe Education (Scotland) Act 1980 the successful candidate for this post will require to have the approval of the Roman Catholic Church.
