An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant CPAP Practitioner to transition into an Associate Practitioner role within our Sleep, CPAP and Respiratory Physiology Team. This position would ideally suit an individual with a caring and positive attitude who strives to make the patient feel valued, while upholding the Trust values of Compassion, Excellence and Collaboration.
With our patient cohort currently in the region of over 20,000, and ever expanding we are looking for an individual who embraces innovation, with the motivation and passion to work both autonomously and within our team providing care, support and management for patients with Sleep Disordered Breathing.
Main duties of the job
Our Practitioners are predominately based in the outpatient department and CPAP Hub at Royal Papworth Hospital and travel independently across several locations in the East Anglia region to support outreach clinics when necessary. We work collaboratively with the Sleep Laboratory and Respiratory Physiology Department and the successful applicant will be expected to undertake training and qualifications in each.
Health education and promotion plays a significant part in our role. The Team initiates on a weekly basis 60 new patients on treatment; maintains our telephone and e-mail support services; delivers review clinics for patients both virtually and on a face-to-face basis.
As someone with excellent communication skills you will be expected to work both alongside members of our team and autonomously, delivering exceptional care to our CPAP patients with professionalism and compassion.
