We are seeking to recruit an individual who enjoys working and caring for animals. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop this curriculum area to ensure that learners receive an outstanding learning experience. You will oversee the maintenance, preparation for learning, supporting teaching and learning activities, stock purchase cleaning of the facility, and ensuring that animals are well cared for.

Co-ordinate the establishment for a learner led facility, support the curriculum offer and the delivery of Small Animal Care.

To take responsibility in the safety and security of the Small Animal Care provision at the Weelsby Campus, week days, evenings and weekends including; suitability of facility, Health and Hygiene compliance, establishing daily priorities and fulfilling all needs and requirements of the vocational specialism in order to deliver an outstanding learning experience.

To ensure that the health and welfare of the animals is adhered to by following animal care legislations

To ensure all Small Animal Care related stock is ordered, supplied and stored in accordance with business needs, health and safety requirements and legislation.

Maintain detailed records of animal production and inventory, following relevant legislation and college quality standards

Previous experience in working in an animal care environment is essential along with knowledge of DEFRA and health and safety related requirements. This post includes evening and weekend work.

You will be based at our Weelsby Campus.
