Smart Manufacturing Data Analyst

The role is to implement the Smart Manufacturing strategy for the Montrose site to support our ambition to be a world-class manufacturing facility with respect to productivity and compliance.

The job holder is expected to have active involvement in both central projects as well as more locally led initiatives. As a new and evolving workstream, the job holder keeps abreast of new technologies and support other staff to increase their capability in the digital arena.

As part of the wider Smart Manufacturing team, the Smart Manufacturing Data Analyst is expected to be versed in digital and technology terminologies and have an active interest in the hands-on delivery of digital solutions for the site.

In this role you will...

  • Maintain and deliver the Smart Manufacturing strategy for the Montrose site aimed at improving performance (efficiency, cost and compliance) and eliminating waste.
  • Support the implementation of centrally deployed Smart Manufacturing projects at the Montrose site as required.
  • Promote and encourage employee skills development and involvement in digital initiatives.
  • Establish themselves as the key contact for implementing digital solutions throughout the Montrose site.
  • Integrate Smart Manufacturing methods as part of standard Montrose ways of working. Drive awareness and inclusion of Smart Manufacturing in CAPA, the Factory Master Plan and standard work.
  • Promote and communicate site Smart Manufacturing activity, initiatives, and successes on and off-site.
  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of current state of the art digital solutions and share with site.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Degree or significant demonstrable work experience
  • An understanding of Smart Manufacturing-related software, for example, Microsoft Power Platform, AspenOne or DeltaV.
  • An awareness or being familiar with programming languages, for example Python.
  • A strong passion for digital solutions and an appreciation for their benefit with respect to data manipulation and visualisation.
  • Experience of automation and/or data analytics.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Experience of influencing others within a matrix organisation.
  • Significant experience of working in a GMP and/or pharma environment, preferably in a range of different disciplines/specialisms.
