Overview

Dragon Security is currently recruiting a professional and approachable individual to join our team as a Smoke Free Officer at Bangor Hospital in North Wales. This role plays a key part in supporting the Hospital's and Health Boards smoke-free policy, by promoting a healthy and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

Patrol Hospital grounds and engage with individuals smoking on site. Politely inform them of the hospital's no-smoking policy and offer guidance on compliance. Signpost to smoking cessation services where appropriate. Keep accurate records of incidents and interactions in line with hospital procedures. Liaise with Hospital staff and Security where necessary. Maintain a professional appearance and uphold Dragon Security's values at all times. Act as a visible presence to support a smoke-free environment.

Essential Requirements:

Valid SIA Door Supervisors License (Mandatory) Strong English language skills. Excellent communication skills and a polite, confident approach. Ability to remain calm and respectful in potentially challenging situations. Punctual, Reliable, and able to work a fixed 4 on, 4 off shift pattern. PAYE Only. No self employed or umbrella arrangements.

Desirable:

Previous experience in a similar public facing or enforcement role. Knowledge of the NHS Smoke-Free policies. Welsh Language skills (preferred but not essential)

Additional Opportunities:

There is a potential for successful candidates to undertake further training and work as a Hospital Security Officer to support with additional shifts or overtime, subject to approvals.
