Advanced Smoke Group have over 20 years' experience providing innovative technical solutions in smoke ventilation for both natural and mechanical systems, over the UK and Europe.

Based in Leicester within easy access to most of the UK, we pride ourselves in completing the highest quality design, manufacture and install of a full smoke ventilation life safety system for well-known prestigious clients.

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced technician to join our team, working on multiple jobs including assisting with electrical installations, remedial works, pre-commissioning and servicing within the smoke control industry - on well-established construction sites and existing installs around the UK.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in all electrical aspects, test and inspection, and have a methodical well-structured approach to fault finding electrical systems and networks. Knowledge of the current health and safety legislation and practices are to be always adhered to.

You will mainly be working as part of a team; however, you may be required to carry out certain tasks by yourself.

Our work is nationwide with the majority being London based, so some overnight stays may be required.

Preferred Skills/Experience

Good communication/customer facing skills essential.

Excellent written literacy and numeracy

Panel wiring

Reading electrical/building schematics

Fault finding using test equipment (LV/ELV circuits)

Basic hand/power tool handling

Ethernet/Modbus networks

Experience working with PLCs/VSD/HMI

2 Years in a similar role

Attention to detail as working on life safety systems

Qualifications/Education

18th edition / C&G2391 - preferable

Minimum ONC/HNC in an Electronic/Electrical/Engineering related subject

Full clean driving license

CSCS/ECS Card

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 40,000.00-45,000.00 per year

Day shift Monday to Friday No weekends
