Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled SMT Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining surface mount technology (SMT) equipment to assemble electronic components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as proficiency in using hand and power tools. The SMT Operator will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.

Duties

Operate SMT machinery to assemble electronic components accurately and efficiently. Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on SMT equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assemble components according to specifications, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly tasks. Collaborate with team members to optimise production workflows and resolve any issues that arise during the assembly process. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Document production processes and report any discrepancies or defects in components.

Requirements

Proven experience in operating SMT machinery is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand logic controllers and electrical systems. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Familiarity with surface mount technology processes is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
