Social Care Consultant - Children's Residential Services

Remote (regular travel across the North East, UK)
Salary:
50,000 - 65,000 per year (including performance bonus)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Responsible Individual to oversee and support a group of children's residential homes across the North East of England.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and values-driven leader in children's residential care to step into a strategic role where you can make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
Provide professional supervision, guidance, and support to Registered Managers.
Lead on safeguarding practices, ensuring all policies and procedures are robust and up to date.
Prepare for and oversee Ofsted inspections, achieving consistent "Good" or "Outstanding" outcomes.
Manage staffing levels, budgets, and resources effectively across all homes.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high-quality care.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and other key stakeholders.
Mentor and develop staff through training, professional development, and performance management.
What We're Looking For
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in a senior leadership role within children's residential care (required).
Qualifications:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong understanding of the Children's Homes Regulations, Ofsted inspection frameworks, and safeguarding procedures.
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Additional Requirements:
Full UK driving licence (required).
Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the North East region.
