This is a senior leadership role with a direct impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people. You will be responsible for ensuring outstanding care, strong safeguarding practice, and full regulatory compliance, while motivating Registered Managers and their teams to deliver excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
Provide visible leadership, mentoring, and guidance to Registered Managers.
Oversee and embed robust safeguarding policies and safe practices.
Lead homes confidently through Ofsted inspections, aiming for 'Good' or 'Outstanding' outcomes.
Manage resources, staffing, and budgets to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
Build and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, social workers, and regulators.
Champion training, staff development, and performance management.
Foster a culture of accountability, improvement, and child-centred practice.
About You
At least 3 years' senior leadership experience in children's residential care.
NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent/working towards).
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Proven ability in compliance, operational oversight, and staff development.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
