Care Practitioner (Nights)

Plas Dyffryn Residential Home forms part of Ansa Care Concept. It is a progressive modern thinking family run organisation that provides Residential and Day Care following the principles of "Home Life", a Code of Practice for Residential Care, "Homes Are For Living". We strive continually to meet and surpass the standards within the Well Being Act 2014 and the Regulations and Inspections of Social Care Wales Act 2016. We are urgently seeking enthusiastic and motivated Care Practitioners (Nights) to join are dynamic and hard working, friendly team.

:

As a Care Practitioner working nights at Plas Dyfrynn, you will be required to undertake night duty 2 nights a week from the hours of 10pm to 8am at a small 16 bed care home.

Key Responsibilities:

Attend to all residents' personal care throughout the night when needed.

Monitor health and wellbeing of all residents.

Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.

Night duties also include an element of cleaning and vegetable preparation as well as laundry duties.

Qualifications:

Level 2 (NVQ or equivalent) in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential.

We are now accepting unqualified applicants who are wanting to start a career in Health & Social Care. If unqualified, applicants must be willing to commence an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and complete within 18-24 months. Unqualified applicants are also required to do at least 1 x 6 - 8 hour shift per week to assist with their training and development towards their Level 2 Diploma.

Applicants will be required to register with Social Care Wales.

Competitive (reviewed annually and regularly monitored)

Level 3 - 15.30

Level 2 - 14.28 per hr

Unqualified - 13.26 per hr
