2 x 12 hours session delivery

in the home of the young boy we support,

plus an additional 5 hours to complete administrative tasks

associated with the role. These can be completed at our Office in Carlisle or from home. This case operates on a fortnightly rolling rota, completing a week of day shifts then a week of night shifts. Session times are 7.30am to 7.30pm and 7.30pm to 7.30am.

You would be supporting and coordinating a team for a bright and joyful 11-year-old boy living in

Carlisle

with

quadriplegic cerebral palsy

. He lives at home with his family, including four other siblings, and requires

1:1 support 24/7

About his care requirements;



Tracheostomy care

(inc. suctioning)

Enteral feeding and button care

Oxygen therapy

Manual handling

Personal care

Medication administration

family outings, hospital stays, and emergency situations

where needed

Key Responsibilities



Support Provision



Deliver high-quality, safe, and person-centred support in people's homes and during office-based shifts, working on a rota over seven days. Act as part of the contingency plan to cover absences and holidays within the package you manage. Safeguard the well-being of the people you support at all times. Build professional and supportive relationships with the people you support and their chosen contacts. Identify achievable support and rehabilitation goals. Lead and guide Support Workers to follow and implement care plans. Agree support schedules with commissioners, the people we support, and Support Workers, ensuring funded hours are delivered as agreed. Keep the Case Manager informed of support delivery, achievements, and any issues.

Line Management



Line manage Support Workers, including regular supervisions and observations. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members. Lead by example and maintain open, clear communication with all team members. Work with the Recruitment team to hire Support Workers according to individual needs and preferences, and ensure they are fully briefed and trained.
