The role





We're looking for a creative and commercially minded Social Events Executive to join our team at voco St. John's Solihull, a vibrant hotel known for exceptional hospitality and unforgettable events.



Reporting to the Sales Office Manager, you'll play a key role in driving social event sales, building our brand presence across digital channels and delivering exceptional experiences for every guest and occasion.


What you'll do




Plan and coordinate all social and private events, from weddings and banquets to association dinners and celebrations. Manage all client communications, from initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up. Collaborate with the Sales, Revenue, and Marketing teams to identify opportunities and maximise revenue potential. Develop and execute social media and digital marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness, engagement and conversion. Produce creative, on-brand content for social platforms ensuring consistency and innovation across all channels. Analyse campaign performance, track conversion rates, and report on engagement and ROI to continuously improve results. Act as a brand ambassador for voco St John's Solihull, promoting the hotel as the premier venue for events and private dining in the region.

What we're looking for




Experience in a marketing, events or hospitality role, ideally within a hotel environment. Proven success in planning, marketing, and executing social or corporate events. Confidence managing social media channels and content creation. Excellent written and verbal communication, with an eye for detail and creative flair. Commercial awareness - understanding how to drive revenue and support hotel performance goals. A proactive, adaptable and people-focused approach. Professional, polished, and enthusiastic - a natural ambassador for the voco brand!
