As the Social Media and Content Executive, you'll be responsible for creating engaging, on-brand content across our UK and Chinese social media platforms, helping to grow our online presence and connect with student audiences. You'll manage day to day social media activity, support content planning, and produce written and visual content for web, blogs, and third-party listings. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you'll ensure consistency across channels, track performance, and continually refine content to drive engagement and brand awareness.
Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Social Media (UK and Chinese platforms)
Lead day-to-day activity across UK social media channels (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X), ensuring content is timely, engaging, and on-brand.
Support and liaise with agencies and partners to manage Chinese social platforms (WeChat, Red, Douyin).
Create and maintain a monthly content calendar tailored to each platform and audience.
Develop creative and engaging multimedia content (copy, image, video) that reflects current trends and resonates with student audiences.
Monitor trends, platform updates, and emerging channels to ensure our approach remains fresh and relevant.
Analyse and report on social media performance monthly, using insights to refine content and optimise engagement.
Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to align social activity with broader campaign goals and digital strategy.
Create and manage paid social media advertising campaigns, monitoring performance and adjusting creative and targeting to optimise results.
Track social media ad budgets, ensuring spend is efficient and effective. Work closely with Digital Marketing Manager to ensure budgets are reflective of performance and strategy
Coordinate the student content creator programme to ensure authentic, on-brand peer-generated content.
Collaborate with property teams to develop lifestyle and community content that showcases our student accommodation and brand personality.
2. Content
Support on website content, imagery, and copy are up to date and ensure it's aligned with brand guidelines.
Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager Liaise with design and photography teams to produce compelling visual assets for use across channels.
Generate and edit blog content or content briefs to support SEO, campaigns, and brand storytelling.
Update and maintain listings on third-party accommodation platforms with accurate descriptions, pricing, offers, and visuals.
Ensure consistency in tone of voice, messaging, and brand language across all digital content.
Work cross-functionally to gather content inputs and approvals from internal stakeholders.
Support where needed the wider digital team in creating content that improves search engine visibility and enhances the user experience.
