We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and results-driven Social Media & PR Manager to join our vibrant team. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for defining, executing, and reporting on the social media and public relations strategy for all six Escapade Group attractions.
This role is weighted approximately
70% Social Media and 30% PR
. You will be an integral part of our marketing efforts, driving brand awareness, engagement, and ultimately, visitor numbers.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media (70%):
Strategy Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with business objectives for all Escapade Group attractions. This includes identifying target audiences, content pillars, platform selection (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube), and engagement tactics.
Content Creation (On-the-Ground):
Spend significant time on-site at our attractions, capturing high-quality, engaging photo and video content using your mobile phone. This includes real-time storytelling, event coverage, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and showcasing the unique experiences at each venue.
Video Editing:
Expertly edit video content directly on your phone, creating dynamic, shareable, and platform-optimized videos for various social channels (e.g., Reels, TikToks, Stories, longer-form content).
Content Calendar Management:
Plan, schedule, and publish engaging content across all social media platforms, ensuring a consistent brand voice and tone.
Community Management:
Actively monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and foster a thriving online community around our brands.
Campaign Management:
Develop and execute social media campaigns for new attractions, events, promotions, and seasonal activities.
Influencer Collaboration:
Identify and engage with relevant influencers and content creators to amplify our reach and messaging.
Social Listening & Trend Spotting:
Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to ensure our content remains fresh and effective.
Performance Reporting:
Track, analyze, and report on social media performance using relevant metrics (engagement, reach, traffic, conversions), providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
Public Relations (30%):
PR Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance the Escapade Group's reputation and secure positive media coverage across regional and national outlets.
Media Relations:
Cultivate strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, and media contacts relevant to the family entertainment and leisure industries.
Host PR events and manage any broadcast events:
Lead and work with the sites managing PR and broadcast events.
Press Release Writing:
Draft compelling press releases, media alerts, and pitches to announce news, events, and milestones. Build relationships with local journalists ensure the sites are featured in the what's on features.
Media Kit Development:
Create and maintain comprehensive media kits for each attraction and the group as a whole.
Crisis Communications Support:
Assist in managing and responding to any potential PR issues in collaboration with the wider team.
Partnerships & Collaborations:
Identify and pursue strategic PR partnership opportunities.
Reporting:
Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports on PR efforts and their impact.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a Social Media and PR role, ideally within the leisure, entertainment, or children's sectors.
Exceptional creativity and a strong eye for engaging visual storytelling.
Demonstrable ability to create and edit high-quality video content using a mobile phone.
(A portfolio or examples will be required).
Deep understanding of current social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Experience with social media management tools and analytics platforms.
A passion for creating fun and memorable experiences for children and families.
Flexibility to travel regularly to all 6 UK attractions.
