Social Media Assistant

to help bring the FreshMex brand to life online.

The Role

We're seeking a creative, organised, and proactive Social Media Assistant to support our marketing activity across

Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

This role will focus heavily on

short-form video and photography

, capturing our food, people, venues, and day-to-day energy. You'll help showcase what makes FreshMex special, both in-store and at events.

The role is ideal for someone

based in Edinburgh or Glasgow

, with the flexibility to travel between the two when required.

Key Responsibilities

Create and edit video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and social posts Capture high-quality photography of food, venues, staff, and events Assist with planning and scheduling social media content Contribute creative ideas for campaigns, promotions, and seasonal content Attend stores and events to capture live content when needed Work closely with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency Stay up to date with social media trends, especially video formats Create content showcasing the FreshMex brand and team
About You

You will ideally have:

Experience creating content for social media, particularly video A strong eye for photography and visual storytelling Confidence using smartphone cameras Basic video editing skills (use of Canva, Capcut etc) Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. A creative mindset with strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively An interest in food, hospitality, and brand-building
