We're looking for a dynamic and visionary Social Media & Community Manager to help take our public presence, community engagement and brand storytelling to the next level.
The Role
We are seeking a highly successful and ambitious Social Media & Community Manager with proven background in social media management and acquisition, and some experience in public relations; nurturing, launching and developing successful corporate image and brands. This role will play a key part in raising the profile of our founder Gillian Ashcroft, launching key innovations like our Succeed App, and building community engagement across our Think Tank Academy training arm. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and measuring innovative, multi-platform campaigns that amplify our voice and drive national impact across the health and social care sectors.
A natural storyteller and strategist with an established and strong industry network, the successful candidate will possess an enviable track record of developing enviable corporate communication strategies and enhancing public image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs.

About the role
Responsibilities
Co-develop and execute a content strategy marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics.
Lead all social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, X/Twitter, Meta, YouTube) to build brand visibility, grow audiences, and drive engagement.
Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media.
Generate compelling, on-brand content including blogs, video scripts, articles, press releases, podcasts, and event assets.
Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.
Manage media enquiries and interview / speaker requests - monitor DMs, comments and engage appropriately.
Support event planning, PR, speaker preparation, and content capture for conferences, training days, and media opportunities.
Track growth and engagement - Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results on a monthly basis.
Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis.
Requirements and skills
Min 3-5 years experience in social media roles.
Proven track record of designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local, national and international level.
Industry expertise, an impressive portfolio of global brand clients and customers.
Experience/knowledge of the Social Care industry, public policy or philanthropic sectors would be an advantage.
Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets.
Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews.
Solid experience with social media including blogs, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, etc.
BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline.
Willingness to travel throughout the UK occasionally, as and when needed.
