Role Overview



Established in 2014, Unity Online is a full-service digital marketing agency employing 50 specialist marketers. We help SME businesses across all sectors achieve genuine online success through strategic digital marketing. Based in East Anglia but serving clients throughout the UK, we provide comprehensive digital solutions including SEO, paid search, social media, web design, and copywriting.

We're seeking a Social Media Consultant to join our growing team. You'll take ownership of organic social media strategy and execution for a diverse portfolio of clients, from accountants to construction companies, spanning both B2B and B2C sectors.

Key Responsibilities Strategy & Planning



Develop and implement social media strategies tailored to each client's goals and audience. Conduct audits of client channels and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and engagement. Build and manage social media calendars aligned with seasonal trends, campaign plans, and wider marketing activity. Collaborate with Account Managers to integrate social media into the client's broader marketing strategy.

Content & Copywriting



Write compelling, on-brand copy for social media posts, stories, and campaigns across all major platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.). Collaborate with the Design team to brief and review creative assets that complement the copy and campaign message. Ensure all content adheres to accessibility, compliance, and brand guidelines. Schedule and manage posts using approved tools (e.g. Hootsuite).

Collaboration



Work closely with Paid Social Consultants to align organic and paid activity, amplifying campaign reach and impact. Partner with Account Managers to deliver reporting and insights, ensuring social performance is clearly linked to marketing objectives. Support the QA process, reviewing all client-facing work for accuracy, tone, and quality. Provide guidance to Account Executives on scheduling, engagement, and community management best practice.

Reporting & Analysis



Monitor performance across social channels and extract insights to inform future strategy. Contribute to monthly and quarterly client reports, highlighting performance outcomes and opportunities. Maintain accurate records of activity, deliverables, and performance data within Monday.com and HubSpot.

Experience & Skills Required



Minimum 2 years' experience managing social media for multiple brands or clients (agency experience strongly preferred). Proven ability to write engaging copy that reflects varied brand voices and achieves measurable engagement. Strong understanding of organic social best practice, algorithms, and content optimisation. Confident using analytics and reporting tools (Meta Insights, LinkedIn Analytics, GA4, Looker Studio). Excellent written communication and editorial judgement. Design experience in

Figma

desirable (for collaboration and light editing, and some content creation). Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.

Pay: 25,000.00-35,000.00 per year
