At Vanbitious, we focus on campervan conversions and bespoke welfare vehicle builds. We are a small but ambitious business in Aberdeen, known for quality workmanship, thoughtful design, and a genuine passion for vans and the people who use them. As we continue to grow, we are looking for someone who wants to help tell our story online while also learning the practical craft of van building alongside the team.

Role Overview

This is a unique role that blends two areas. You will create engaging social media content that reflects the real work we do. At the same time, you will gain hands on experience as a trainee campervan conversion specialist. You will spend time in the workshop helping with real builds, learning skills, and understanding the process so your content feels genuine, useful, and grounded in reality.

There may be opportunities for travel, activities such as water sports, and occasional overnight stays to capture content that reflects the lifestyle around van life.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media and Content

You will:

Create short form video content that feels real and engaging Capture behind the scenes footage of builds and daily activity Join in on photoshoots and on camera content Stay aware of social media trends and formats Plan, post, and track content performance using scheduling tools Help shape the brand voice and online presence

Workshop and Trainee Responsibilities

You will also:

Support general joinery tasks such as plywood lining, carpet lining, soundproofing, and insulation Assist with flooring and basic carpentry Help with simple electrical tasks under supervision, including 12V and 230V systems and solar Support fitting windows, diesel heaters, and other installed features Carry out basic vehicle checks and maintenance Keep the workspace tidy and organised
You will not be expected to arrive as an expert. You will learn over time with guidance. What matters is willingness to work, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in the trade.

Skills and Experience

You should bring:

Experience in content creation or strong evidence of ability Confidence using platforms like Instagram and TikTok A creative but practical mindset Good communication skills The ability to work independently when required Reliability, punctuality, and good time management
Experience with DIY, tools, or joinery would be helpful but not essential if you are committed to learning.

Contractual Arrangement

Work will be offered based on business needs. This is a zero hours contract.

We are open to discussing a self employed arrangement if suitable.
