Job Summary


We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy, enhancing our online presence, and engaging with our audience across various platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of public relations and social media management to effectively communicate our brand message and foster community engagement.

Are you a social media superstar either managing communications for an organisation or working in an agency where you manage highly engaging social communication for a whole raft of interesting clients? Either way, you are able to wow us with a demonstrable, well established skill set and illustrate how you have developed and grown an online following.
We are seeking social media talent to carry out our digital marketing activities. This is an exciting role to help the Students engage creatively with our student audience. We wish to recruit someone who is nimble and proficient online who can develop excellent presence and engagement and have an affinity with our wide ranging audience.
In this role you will develop all aspects of our digital and social media marketing campaigns, plan, manage and create content across all digital and social media platforms including Facebook, X (Formally known as Twitter), TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and a variety of blogs. You will work with internal and external teams to source and create necessary content, keep all parties updated on campaign progress and ensure our consistency in tone of voice.
Ideally you will be from a digital marketing /social media background with a track record that shows an in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, an ability to research and produce high quality written material, create engaging videos, good analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines and demonstrate an understanding of sharing knowledge with others.
We're looking for someone who has a passion for social media that manifests itself through self-teaching, exploring and relevant experience in communicating bringing new ideas to the table.

24,000 p.a. pro rata or 12.21 per hour

Duties



Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies that align with our organisational goals. Create engaging content for various platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and engagement opportunities. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms. Analyse performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of social media campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly. Engage with followers by responding to comments and messages in a timely manner. Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and technologies. Coordinate public relations efforts to enhance brand visibility and reputation.

Qualifications



Proven experience in social media management or public relations is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail. Familiarity with social media analytics tools to track performance metrics. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas for content creation. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
