Social Media Manager

The Social Media Manager's main focus will be to drive the development of the NBA's French Instagram and TikTok accounts, working closely with the Senior Social Media Manager to build fandom in their dedicated market. Knowledge of the NBA, the teams and the players is desirable. A key function of the role will be ideating original TikTok first content formats to be produced in France. Working closely with creators and production partners, the Social Media Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a set number of content formats over 12 months.
The successful candidate should be a TikTok native, understand the intricacies of the platform algorithm and how content should be developed to maximise the opportunity. The role focuses on content ideation, pre-production planning, post-production, stakeholder management and community engagement. In addition, the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a track record in day-to-day social media management
Please note:
Regular attendance at the client's offices in central London is required, whilst some weekend and out-of-hours work will be needed. International travel on occasion may be applicable.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME
Day-to-day management of French TikTok and Instagram channels.
Overseeing the production and delivery of TikTok first original content, working with creators and production partners in market.
Content ideation, pre-production planning, post-production, stakeholder management and community engagement.
Executing the localised social media strategy in France as directed by the Senior Social Media Manager.
Planning and maintaining content calendars across channels.
Briefing editors and designers to create market-specific content for your channels.
Content ideation, creation and publication across French Instagram and TikTok handles.
Overseeing projects, workflow, and deadlines and ensuring consistent high-quality work relating to your scope of work.
Ensuring output is engaging and optimised for the platform with the efficient application of channel best practice.
Community Manager: monitoring conversations in relevant areas and engaging when appropriate.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything.
French Fluency -- it is essential that the successful candidate can speak and write fluently in French, as well as having an understanding of French culture.
Strong knowledge of social media platforms (in particular Instagram, Facebook and X) and track record of day-to-day social media management experience.
Deep understanding of content formats and algorithmic nuances across those platforms is essential.
Excellent knowledge of basketball, players and teams and a sincere passion for the sport - this is a must.
Basic Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop skills are beneficial.
Managing a pool of editors and designers and the briefing process.
Planning content output across multiple territories and time zones to maximise reach and performance.
Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to present a clear plan linked back to overall objectives and KPIs.
