Social Media Manager

Working across eight markets, the Social Media Manager's main focus will be to support the Senior Social Media Manager in delivering content activations around key tentpole moments across the basketball season to maximise the opportunities in each local market. The role focuses on content ideation, planning, stakeholder management and community engagement. Knowledge of the NBA, the teams and the players is desirable. The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate a track record in day-to-day social media management, as the role will predominantly focus on ideating content and publishing across Instagram (with X and Facebook also a requirement from time to time).
Please note:
Regular attendance at the client's offices in central London is required, whilst some weekend and out-of-hours work will be needed. International travel on occasion may be applicable.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME
Focus on the delivery of content activations around key tentpole moments across the basketball season.
Owning communications and planning with the client and stakeholders to deliver strategic objectives across tentpole moments.
Executing the localised social media strategy in key territories in Europe and the Middle East as directed by the Senior Social Media Manager.
Planning and maintaining content calendars across multiple channels and accounts around tentpole moments.
Briefing editors and designers to create market-specific content for each territory around the tentpole moments.
Liaising with the wider In-Market Community Managers on tasks, working with them to ideate and execute localised content around tentpole moments.
Content ideation, creation and publication across predominantly across a European Instagram handle, with support on X and Facebook from time to time.
Overseeing projects, workflow, and deadlines and ensuring consistent high-quality work relating to your scope of work.
Ensuring output is engaging and optimised for the platform with the efficient application of channel best practice.
Community Manager: monitoring conversations in relevant areas and engaging when appropriate.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything.
Strong knowledge of social media platforms (in particular Instagram, Facebook and X).
Excellent understanding of platform analytics and experience in community management.
A genuine passion for, and strong knowledge of, basketball sport, its players and teams, is an absolute must.
Basic Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop skills are beneficial.
Planning content output across multiple territories and time zones to maximise reach and performance.
Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to present a clear plan linked back to overall objectives and KPIs.
