Otello is a long-established, family-run Italian restaurant located at 122 Church Road, Hove. We're currently undergoing an exciting transformation -- blending our authentic Italian heritage with a fresh, Amazonico-inspired interior design, premium dining experience, and a modern identity.

We are now ready to take Instagram seriously and build a bold, refined, and engaging presence that reflects our updated brand.

Role Overview

We're looking for a creative and strategic Instagram Manager to lead Otello's content, posting, and growth efforts. Your role is to develop a cohesive aesthetic and narrative, manage content creation or curation, write engaging captions, schedule consistent posts, and help us grow a loyal following and attract local diners.

This role is ideal for someone who understands luxury dining, has a strong eye for design, and knows how to market food and atmosphere effectively.

Responsibilities

Create or curate 4-5 high-quality posts per week (feed + reels) Write engaging, on-brand captions and choose hashtags Post regular Instagram stories (behind-the-scenes, customer moments, dishes, ambience) Build and maintain highlight sections (menu, interiors, drinks, etc.) Engage with followers (reply to comments/DMs) Plan content in monthly calendars If local: occasional photography and/or video (or direct shoots with our team)
Ideal Skills & Experience

Experience managing Instagram for restaurants or lifestyle brands Confident with reels, short-form video, and aesthetic photo layouts Familiar with the premium dining space and brand storytelling Able to take initiative, generate content ideas, and collaborate with management Bonus: Knowledge of basic ad strategy or influencer outreach
