You'll be responsible for creating social media campaigns and the day-to-day management of Solent's social media properties. Your knowledge of social media as a marketing tool will result in the adoption and implementation of social media best practices across all channels. The role is part of the content marketing team, within External Relations, but will work collaboratively across other teams such as the digital platforms team and the PR and communications team.


Key Responsibilities:




Daily management of social media channels, including Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Communicating with social media followers, including responding to queries in a timely manner. As a vital part of the content marketing team, help to execute Solent's social media strategy through competitor research, benchmarking, messaging, audience identification and brand implementation. Devise and maintain effective social measuring programme, delivering monthly reports on social media marketing efforts. Working closely and collaboratively with the wider team to generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and reinforces brand messaging. Engage with Solent's diverse audience to develop and manage social influencer programs. Help grow our audience on key social platforms Tik Tok and Instagram. Maintain and refine editorial calendars and syndication schedules. Continuously improve by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices. Collaborate with other departments to manage Solent's reputation and identify key areas for social growth.

Knowledge:




An excellent understanding of social media campaigns. Knowledge of Hootsuite. Excellent understanding of analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite Pro, and Facebook Insights to monitor and evaluate Solent's social media presence and performance. Be able to demonstrate a flair for creative thinking and storytelling through social media content. Good at collaborative content creation, writing, filming etc. With a view to best social media practice. Able to use Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Premier Pro etc.

Experience:




Proven experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist. Proven written and verbal communication skills. Have experience of identifying and managing a range of potential issues on social media. Good interpersonal skills across a range of levels. Strong organisational skills (prioritising, planning, time management working to deadlines). Evidence of good problem-solving skills, initiative and resourcefulness.
