Role Summary

Reporting to the Producer (Youth), the Social Media Officer (Youth) will ensure that content is planned, produced and posted to all youth-facing channels.

Main Responsibilities:

Support the Producer (Youth) in the planning, creation and execution of content for Get Into Film social media/YouTube Shorts channel and website, in accordance with strategic objectives.

Support the Producer (Youth) in sourcing appropriate content and opportunities for the young person facing hub and Linktree.

Take responsibility for scheduling and uploading all direct-to-young-people social content.

Edit and create social assets for Get Into Film social channels. This includes video editing on Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.

Manage day-to-day engagement with freelance content creators to develop and create content for our young person social media channels and YouTube (Get Into Film).

Manage responses, comments, and direct messages to content posted to Get Into Film social media channels, ensuring timely replies and any issues are escalated as required.

Manage paid advertising across Get Into Film social media channels, including scheduling, budget tracking and reporting.

Work closely with the Producer (Youth) on managing the analytics and reporting across Get Into Film social media channels for internal reports, including to the Executive and Board.

Provide cover for education social channels when required.

In-person, attend festivals, behind the scene shoots, as well as junkets to capture content alongside content creators, as necessary.

General Responsibilities:

Contribute to long term planning to ensure growth in line with demand and resources

Contribute to the regular monitoring and evaluation of the Into Film\'s work

Person Specification:

Minimum Requirements:

Experience of working on young person facing social media channels, including planning, monitoring and evaluation.

Excellent understanding of how young people engage with social media and how to optimise content for a youth audience.

Experience of creating video and image content, tailored for a youth audience.

Experience of using social media management tools such as Sprout Social to schedule activity and manage reporting.

Knowledge of social media metrics and how to use them in reporting.

Experience in paid targeted social media advertising.

Experience in growing an audience on social media channels for a youth audience.

Desirable:

Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop and Premiere Pro

Experience of developing content for an educator audience

A love and knowledge of film
