We are currently hiring

a Social Media and Media Relations Specialist

to join our global communications team. The individual will serve as regional leads, supporting social and content strategy, execution, and on-the-ground coverage across their respective markets. The position will report to the Marketing and Business Development Director, EMEA

Key Responsibilities:



Social Media



Execute RM Sotheby's global social media strategy with a regional lens in collaboration with the North American Social Media Manager Travel regularly to cover auctions, automotive events, and brand activations, capturing and publishing real-time content Produce and edit high-quality photo and video content optimized for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook Manage content scheduling, publishing, and monitoring using tools such as Sprout Social Support marketing campaigns, PR initiatives, and influencer collaborations Collaborate with the global communications and Sotheby's Motorsport (SOMO) teams to develop and deliver compelling content Serve as the on-the-ground content lead for your office and local events Support regional office operations including vehicle movement, prep for shoots or display, and hands-on assistance with logistics Ensure that the local office environment reflects the quality and professionalism of the RM Sotheby's brand

Media Relations



Provide support to the EMEA PR department Assist with the production and distribution of press releases Assist in liaison with EMEA media contacts to help build media relationships and service their requirements Work to identify strong stories and content to keep RM Sotheby's at the forefront of the news agenda

Qualifications:



4-6 years of professional experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing Some PR experience with strong writing skills Strong portfolio showcasing videography, photography, and editing proficiency Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop, or equivalent software In-depth understanding of platform trends, voice, and content performance Proven ability to manage fast-paced, multi-project environments with minimal oversight Willingness and ability to travel regularly and work flexible hours around major events Professionalism and comfort working around rare and high-value vehicles Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally Existing network of content creators and social media collaborators

Preferred Qualifications:



Passion for collector cars, automotive culture, or motorsport Experience working with luxury or high-end consumer brands Familiarity with analytics platforms and influencer marketing workflows Confidence working independently while remaining close * An understanding of the Public Relations function within a fast-paced business
