Role: Social Media Specialist
Length of Contract: 6 Months FTC
Hours: 40 per week
Operational Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Social Media Specialist to lead community management across multiple European markets, with a primary focus on Dutch-speaking audiences. This role involves managing customer interactions via social channels in multiple languages, ensuring timely responses and maintaining brand tone and quality standards.
You will be responsible for publishing content, monitoring engagement, moderating conversations, and handling complaints across social and digital platforms. Using social media management tools, you will schedule posts, categorise interactions, track performance, and leverage social listening to identify trends and potential issues. Reporting on KPIs and consumer insights will be a key part of the role, alongside collaboration with customer service teams to align workflows and share best practices.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage proactive and reactive social media conversations for assigned brands.
  • Publish and schedule content using social media management tools.
  • Monitor engagement, sentiment, and performance metrics.
  • Respond to customer queries and complaints in line with service level agreements.
  • Conduct social listening to identify trends and emerging issues.
  • Produce reports on KPIs and consumer insights for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to harmonise processes and support training initiatives.
Skills & Experience
  • Extensive experience in social media and community management (5+ years preferred).
  • Native-level Dutch with strong English and French proficiency.
  • Proficiency in social media management and listening tools (e.g., Sprout Social).
  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and high-volume workloads.
