Overview


We are seeking a creative and dynamic Social Media volunteer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that enhance our charity's presence and engage the disabled people we wish to support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of disability rights and social media management, with a passion for storytelling and community engagement. This is a good opportunity to build your experience of social media and create content you can use in your portfolio.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement across various platforms. Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) that aligns with the brand's voice and objectives. Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers across all social media channels in a timely manner. Analyse social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all marketing channels. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in social media and digital marketing to keep the brand relevant. Assist in managing public relations efforts by crafting press releases and coordinating outreach initiatives.

Experience



Familiarity and proficiency of various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Familiarity with social media analytics tools to track performance metrics is advantageous. Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas for content creation.
