Essential Car Documentation- This post is a designated Essential Car User. Therefore, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work. You will receive the Essential Car User Allowance.
We have and exciting opportunity for a team manager position in our Fostering Service within the Kinship Care Hub. Our Kinship Care Hub continues to develop and thrive and our teams work with family and friends from the point of initial assessment through to securing legal permanence.
Your role as Team Manager in Kinship Care would be to support and supervise a team of 6 supervising social workers and 2 Advanced practitioners, with a focus on reflective and relationship-based practice.
You will ensure the service provided is effective and delivers positive outcomes for children and their kinship networks ensuring that the social workers you have responsibility for meet the statutory requirements set through legislation, national and regional guidance in respect of cared for children and fostering regulations.
You will have experience and knowledge of working within the courts and within fostering regulations and will be skilled at ensuring assessments produced are of good or outstanding quality, and meet the timeframes set within the courts.

You will be a person who has good people skills, is able to nurture and develop staff including newly qualified and more advanced practitioners, be able to work alongside a plethora of professionals in a multi-agency context and influence positive cultures within your team and the service overall.* You will be a leader and someone who is brave and creative.* You will work alongside the Service Lead and Assistant Director as an integral part of the leadership team in Fostering.* You will have excellent communication skills, good IT skills, the ability to manager performance and quality and a sound knowledge of Legislation and statutory guidance in relation to fostering and children.*
