Job Role Requirements:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Sociology lessons to Key Stage 5 students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and dynamic Sociology curriculum
  • Engage with parents and guardians to support student achievement and welfare
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events
Qualifications and Person Specification:
  • Hold a relevant degree in Sociology or a related field
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Key Stage 5 Sociology curriculum
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Display a passion for teaching and inspiring young minds
  • Show a commitment to continuous professional development

Salary and Start Date:

This full-time position as a Sociology Teacher offers a competitive Inner London MPS/UPS salary. The start date for this role is September 2023.
