Soft Fruit Technical Manager

Location: Staffordshire (Farm & Packhouse based)

We are seeking an experienced

Soft Fruit Technical Manager

to join our team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for all technical and quality assurance functions across our growing and packing operations, ensuring compliance with supermarket standards, industry certifications, and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead all technical and quality systems across the packhouse ensuring quality team are following the protocol of the HACCP and systems in place at all times. Maintain compliance with BRCGS, GlobalG.A.P., Red Tractor, and customer standards. Manage third party audits, technical documentation, and HACCP systems. Act as the main technical contact for retailers, suppliers, and auditors. Oversee manage QC teams, product testing, and crop compliance (including residues). Support sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Candidate Profile:

Proven technical/quality management experience in the soft fruit industry is required.. Strong knowledge of food safety, audits, HACCP, and supermarket compliance. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Degree in Food Science, Agriculture, or Horticulture (desirable). BASIS / FACTS qualification (advantage).
