ISS delivers integrated facilities management services to Defra Group Property (DgP) across the UK. Under contract, ISS is responsible for providing Soft Services at the Weybridge site.
As Soft Services Supervisor, you will play a key role in driving soft services excellence and embodying an exceptional workplace experience for both DgP and ISS.
Supporting the Senior Workplace Manager, you will help coordinate the site and collaborate with the Defra team to foster a workplace environment that enhances well-being, productivity, and company culture.
You will proactively identify opportunities to improve onsite soft services and implement initiatives aligned with ISS and DgP's vision.
The Soft Services Supervisor manages the day-to-day delivery of soft services at the Weybridge site, including cleaning, reception, and messenger teams. You will lead a diverse team to deliver significant improvements in service performance and quality.
The role requires building effective relationships with ISS staff, Defra stakeholders, and suppliers to foster a one-team approach delivering world-class services.
You will also focus on meeting and exceeding agreed service levels, supporting a positive workplace culture and enhancing client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Act as primary point of contact for all soft services, representing Defra & ISS with expert knowledge and ownership of related tasks.
Oversee delivery of cleaning (day/evening), pest control, grounds maintenance, mail/messenger, reprographics, fleet management, and reception services.
Ensure soft services comply with contractual requirements.
Line-manage staff, covering all HR and P&C functions (recruitment, absence, performance, development, and training).
Manage HSE documentation for soft services (risk assessments, SOPs, COSHH).
Maintain personal and team compliance with Defra/ISS and legal HSE standards.
Oversee site time and attendance, managing daily arbitrations, sickness, holidays, and absences.
Handle soft services purchase orders, goods receipting, and invoice approvals.
Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable ISS office; ensure visible leadership and monitor quality standards (cleanliness, comfort, building fabric, etc.).
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Experience:
Experience in soft services FM, particularly cleaning.
Experience managing multi-faceted teams.
Strong understanding of cleaning processes and standards.
Experience working in high-profile or sensitive environments.
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder demands and tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong knowledge of health & safety processes, procedures, and compliance.
