This is an exceptional chance to work on an unprecedented \'blue sky\' development with minimal constraints. The Ceres Project invites you to utilize modern technologies, frameworks, development environments, toolsets, and methodologies, with a keen focus on CI/CD and automation.

Seize the opportunity to design and deliver the next generation of software test solutions for significant systems, including the Future Combat Air System and the Future Cruise / Anti-Ship Weapon. As part of a team of developers, you will play a crucial role in driving software design within the Ceres Project, delivering this critical capability.

What we\'re seeking:

We\'re in search of a practicing Software Architect or a skilled software designer ready to elevate their career to the role of a Software Architect.
  • A technically proficient individual comfortable with making pivotal architectural and design decisions.
  • Knowledgeable about contemporary and established software architecture techniques and design patterns.
  • Capable of providing technical mentorship, clearly articulating software architecture solutions, and collaborating effectively with software developers.
  • An effective communicator, adept at conveying information accurately across different levels, including influencing internal partners and customers.
  • An advocate for key software engineering practices such as continuous integration and effective design.
  • Proficient in evaluating and communicating trade-offs in various aspects of Software Architecture, with a focus on design rationale.
  • Familiarity with software abstraction layers and the software stack.
  • Experience shaping the selection of tools, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Strong programming background, preferably with experience in multiple programming languages.
