Responsibilities

Programming of:

PLCs PACs HMIs
Production of Design Documentation

Testing of the full system utilising the developed software

Commissioning of the integrated system on customer sites

Providing software support to other department within the business such as Service

Troubleshooting Orbital systems in the field and offering appropriate support.

Supporting other members of the team where possible with technical issues or questions.

Effectively maintain development/design records in line with the Orbital QA system

Requirements

Minimum of HND in Software Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.

5 years of hands-on experience in conceiving and implementing software on PLC based systems

Experience of IE61131-3 programming languages:

o ST (Structured Text)

Orbitals language of choice

o FBD (Function Block Diagram)

o SFC (Sequential Function Chart)

o LLD (Ladder Logic)

Experience of the complete software/systems design lifecycle.

In depth Knowledge of network / serial communications protocols and hardware.

Full Driving Licence

Pay

The salary banding for this role is

35,000 to 54,000

and is based on an applicant's Skills, Training and Competence.
