In this role, you will collaborate closely with our leadership team to establish a high-performing engineering group. Your primary focus will be on attracting and nurturing engineering talent, while actively participating in technology-related tasks to oversee the development of an exceptional product and customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Talent Management:
  • Hire, mentor, develop, and retain top-tier engineering talent.
  • Team Building:
  • Form effective full-stack software development teams dedicated to agile delivery and creating value for our customers.
  • Innovation Leadership:
  • Drive constant innovation across Architecture, Database, Engineering, and DevOps teams, inspired by industry best practices and sound principles.
  • Strategic Decision-Making:
  • Understand trade-offs between performance, scale, and business value, emphasizing pragmatism and simplicity.

  • Coordinate the development of cross-team features between engineering teams, product managers, and technical operations.
Qualifications
  • Interest:
  • Interest in making an impact on global money movement.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of software development management experience.
  • 1+ years as a leader in an Engineering organization with influence over 5 engineers.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable leading cross-functional teams on complex problems.
  • Strong background in object-oriented programming (Java, C#, or C++).
  • Experience mentoring new managers and implementing Lean/Kanban software practices.
  • Creative, investigative, innovative, insightful, and able to make technical leaps.
  • Capable and comfortable working with high-level management.
  • Ability to work independently towards goals.
  • Excellent work ethic and reliability.
